Yep--that crispy top end will soften up with break-in.

Closed the back on my 1x12 w/ Creamback today--I think that's how it's going to stay. Just outstanding with single coils and the LP. Very happy with this speaker, I gotta say. A/B'd it a little with the Gold, and to my ear the Creamback still sounds better with the Rem, which is awesome considering it's about $100 less. The fact that it's not as loud is a big deal, too. I closed mine up as well and like what I am hearing. I know what you all say about the top end crispness. Mine still has that too I need to break mine in a bit more. I still like the overall tone of the creamback better. Much better tone with my strats in the neck position too.

Played a 3-set gig last night at what i assumed would be a small quiet club. with Maz jr on top the Creamback. By mid-2nd set the Maz MV dimmed! V@1. No Airbrake. I think it was Sweet Emotion that did it! My ears are ringing but I think the Creamback is broken in. Next Friday at a BIG venue so the Remedy is going and we'll mic everything. :-) Can't wait!!! The Remedy is growing on me big time!

I can't wait for mine to arrive! My order of a 16 ohmer had to be changed (here in Europe, 16 ohm speakers are only served to builders!!!!!), and, what's more, I'll have to wait for a month!!! You are lucky guys there in the States... Tons of tone!!

^^^ BIG envy here! The thought of playing my Remedy at a big venue when she can clear her throat and sing gives me goose bumps! ;D The "gig" went very well. The Remedy is monstrous tone & presence. This place was indoors 78,000 sq. FT. 100s of people post Mardi Gras parade. The 1st thing I heard after a 20 second guitar check was "TURN DOWN". The Remedy can handle anything with ease & the more you give it the more it responds & puts out. (And this was just 20 watt setting) There's no turning back. I'm totally stuck on this amp now.

Yep! At one of the few large outdoor venues I've played with the Remedy;@ only 1/2 power with no choke. It was Killer. Is the Creamback that good. Thinking of pairing it with a G12H any thought s on that ?

Thinking of pairing it with a G12H any thought s on that ? Yes I really the way you can open up the remedy with it. Not sure about pairing the G12H with it. It may sound killer. I have two 25 watt greenbacks in my Z-Best and wouldn't change them for anything they are that good! I tried the 65 watt weber legacy's and like the greenbacks much better. The Gh1230 has a big sound too it so the creamback may even it out some I know one thing I hate the V30! I would rather have the gh1230 creamback.'

Thinking of pairing it with a G12H any thought s on that ? Not sure about the pairing due to diff speaker sensitivity. My 1x12 Creamback closed cab is WAY quieter than my 2x12 open with V30/G12H30. Maybe 2 volume clicks. Like the Reverend says (& John always told me) I cannot believe how much the lower db Creamback allows you crank up the Remedy or any amp.But I am super pleased with both cabs now and they produce way diff tones. The Creamback has the woody tone with quick breakup while the 2x12 is just in your face. Having used both cabs lately I realize my Creamback is still fizzy on top. I cannot wait for that to go away. Then I'm set!.

I was thinking a Gold in one and a Creamback in the other or the G12H in one and a Creamback in the other. I think I want to stay at 16 ohms each. The lower dbs may work with the Rem. I use my Ventua way more than the Remedy because of the Master voltage. I have never gone past 3/4 of 20 watts. I'm not a big fan of the BL though I use to have have two. Next big Venue (very rare) The Remedy and the Ventura each with a 1x12 cab maybe stereo

Jammergreg I vote for the gold in one open back and the creamback closed in the other. With those two speakers you will be set for life.

I heard them with a different amp but it was an ABY comparison and It was KILLER. Now I have to buy two speakers and sell my two 16 ohm G12Hes Thanks

If I didn't have a z-best with two greenbacks I would go that route you are thinking about. I have a gold in my maz studio. The tone I was getting yesterday through my 1/12 cab closed with the creamback was killer. The Gold is also fantastic keep in mind it has to be pushed and sounds best that way. That is why I like the creamback so much because you can get more out of the Remedy with it. I play at 40 watts with the creamback but when I had the Gold I could not get past the 20 watt setting or I would be just too loud. My creamback is still not completely broken in yet either!

Thinking of pairing it with a G12H any thought s on that ? Yes, I have strong thoughts on that. The H is a 100db speaker, the Creamback is 97db. The H will be MUCH louder and therefore the dominate tone. And personally, I think the H is an AWFUL speaker with the Remedy. I had the ability to A/B/C a Greenback, V30 and G12H speakers with the Remedy. Greenback was best, V30 was good but definitely a 'hard rock' speaker. But the H was unusable...just awful. The H is alright when you match it up with a V30. Both are 100 db speakers, so you get even volume. And the upper mid spike in tone of the V30 is offset by the scooped mids of the H.

The G12Hes just came with the cabs. I tried a Gold with the Rem and the Ventura and it sounded very nice, but adding the Creamback will give it the in-your-face rockin' tone IMO with the cleans of the Gold and the low vol hair of the creamback; I bet a nice combination>

I couldn't take it any more after hearing all the great reports about the Creamback........... so I ordered one today!
I currently have a Z convertible cab with a Gold, but I'm not totally happy with it. I'm a big Greenback fan so I think the Creamback will give me what I'm missing in the Remedy.

Late to the party....this is a great speaker for the Remedy!
I had been using a WGS ET65 for a while and the Creamback is even better.

Creamback continues to break in & just keeps getting sweeter. I've been A/B'ing a lot between my 1x12 Creamback vs. 2x12 cab. Now I'm REALLY liking what I'm hearing from the 1x12. Also as y'all know by now I'm fickle and have removed the back so the 1x12 is open back. I like it! Creamback with Remedy & Maz 18 is my goto for now! I can open the amps up SO much more too so it's a big plus.

Looking forward to trying my new Creamback at band practice this evening! I'll start with the cab closed, and then I'll try it semi-open, just to check. It hasn't been broken in at all, so I suppose it'll sound a little harsh and tight... Tons of tone!!

I play really close to my amp and I was having a hard time hearing myself yesterday and that was at 40 watts! Remedy volumes at about 2 0 clock!
