DC here! Hi Doc - and all you other guys and dolls are not neglected of course - you mentioned the Selmer Zodiac. Ampeg used something similar too on some amps. I used to have one of those 100watt 2x12 combos with weird tub complement - lol. ( VT-22 amp.... ) (true to Ampeg philosophy a real backbreaking monster of an amp) Any way it had three position switch for shifting the middle frequences around. I think it was 300Hz, 1KHz and 3KHz Must say I never found that Ampeg gizmo very useful - guess they meant well Chers: Dixiechicken!

Heavy and loud. Haven't had much use for it for years.

DC here! Bought mine second hand from a friend - who in his turn had bought even cheaper - from a poor sod who sold it in an add. This guy was kind of down about it - a real blue collar worker - He said something like - Well we were going form a band so bought that amp, but nothing ever happened - I really dont know why.Well even the best laid plans....... My friend haggled the price down do 700:- swedish kroner - I paid my friend 1500:- swedish kroner. At that time a local music had a second hand unit for 4200:- swedish kroner. Sombody had put roller costers on it, så you roll that monster on the ground wich was a relief. But it became quite top heavy and unsteady - I over turned several times actually. One time I hand change out some of tubes - who did not take kindly this particular gimmick Cheers: Dixiechicken!
