Recently picked up a Jetta head, my first Z. I sold off all my amps - 5E3, Princeton Reverb, 18w clone, Winfield Typhoon. Decided to start over, and look outside the Fender/Marshall/Vox world for some different things, try to find my own sound rather than copying others.
First up was a Victory Copper VC35 - 4xEL84 in the Vox-ish vein but with its own voice. Next was the Jetta. The 7591 power section and simple controls appealed to me. Finally, I'm awaiting a BC Audio Amplifier #8 - octal preamps tubes and 2x6V6 power section. Three very different amps.
So far, I've mostly played the Jetta through my UA Ox with headphones. COVID means family rarely leaves house and chances to crank are minimal. Funny enough, the best sounding Ox cab/speaker sim is ... the G12H30! It's almost like the Doc knows what he's doing.
My only cab at the moment is a closed back 2x12 with Warehouse Green Beret and Reaper (basically, Greenback and G12H30). The Jetta sounds good but not great through that. Could be the impedance 16Ω mismatch, could be the closed back, could be I haven't dialed it right yet.
I'm looking for a 1x12 that needs to play nice with the Jetta, the Copper, and the #8. Victory's 1x12 comes with a 65w Creamback, BC's with a 75w Creamback.
What other speakers have worked well for you Jetta players? Anyone tried a Creamback?

Welcome to the Forum - a lot of good people and great info here! You'll learn from the Forum that Doc has a pretty good sense of what the best combination of speaker and tubes works with each amp. I have a Jetta combo with a G12H30 in it - great combination! I'll let others chime in but Doc put them together for a reason!
You might want one cab with just the G12H30 and the other one with the speakers you already have.

Welcome to the forum Tim!
I have the Jetta combo and I agree with Mike, the G12H-30 sounds really good with it. I'm a speaker snob and really like trying multiple speaker combinations. But, I haven't had that urge with Jetta.

Thanks Mike and Roger. In case it wasn't clear, I'll have three heads and looking or a single 1x12 to use with them all. I'll probably get one of deLisle's cab switcher boxes.

Tim I have one of the deLisle switcher boxes (4 heads/4 cabs). It works but for some reason the inputs are plastic and not metal - cheesy. I had one "untighten" and the jack fell into the box - no way to get it back out. I had to send it to them to get it fixed.

Congrats on your JETTA and welcome to the club Tim~ Like the Doc chose and has be said above, the G12H30 sounds great with the JETTA. I've been wanting to try a Creamback H...the 75 watt version. They have a little more highs, less mids and more lows than the Creamback M....the 65 watt. Much like the G12H30. The JETTA has lots of mids and lows. I like to try speakers that have more highs with my JETTA. Right now I have a Scumback J65 in it and sounds awesome. I had a Tone Tubby Purple Haze in it for a while too and it sounded great too. Here is a thread I started about different JETTA speakers..... Have fun and enjoy! ztalk.proboards.com/thread/83592/jetta-different-speakers

H30 is super right. I tried a Creamback H75 and it was very good though kinda fizzy, and not as nice cleans. The H30 heritage is cool, vibey and does dirty real nice.
Definitely want to match impedance, that Jetta output transformer is special and will do best with an 8ohm box.

My original band has been recording a demo. I used the Jetta for some of the rhythm tracks. I ran it into a Z 1x12 cabinet with a Celestion Alnico Cream speaker.
It sounds really good clean and dirty. The Alnico Cream is my go to speaker lately. Though when playing live I've just been using the stock G12H-30 speaker.

Cool stuff guys. I'm leaning towards a 1x12 cab, either open back or convertible and a few speakers to rotate through, with G12H30 and Alnico Cream on the list.

The Alnico Cream was IT for me. The G12H30 was my second favorite, but the Alnico Creak was a fair amount sweeter in all respects.

OP here, back with an update. I just ordered a used Z 1x12 Vintage 30 from Music Go Round in Maryland. Should arrive in a few days. I'll try the V-30. If it's not my flavor, I'll sell it to fund something else.

OP here back with an update.
The cab from Music Go Round looks brand new. I can't find a flaw on it. Not a surprise, really, but the Vintage 30 isn't a good match for the Jetta, at least not in the closed back config. I haven't removed the center back panel yet to try it open.
My other cab is a closed 2x12 made by a friend that's half the size of a 1960B cab, with a slightly angled baffle. It's loaded with 8 ohm WGS Green Beret and Reaper. The speakers are wired to separate jacks so I can play them solo. The Jetta sounds good with the Beret and better with the Reaper.
Next time the house is empty, I'll try the Z cab open back with each of the three speakers. I'm also on the hunt for another Z 1x12, ideally with a Creamback or G12H30. But if I find the right cab with the wrong speaker, I'll sell the speaker.
Thanks for listening.
