Well, After much lurking, longing, & research I now possess a 2011 Carmen Ghia head. I am a man of limited means & had figured it may not happen for me, but it did ! Snagged it used for a great price & have really enjoyed the first three weeks of having it. It seems to be the perfect amplifier for me. I thought long & hard on which Z to acquire, & could not be more pleased. Thanks to the Doc for an awesome product, & thanks to ztalk for all the info I was able to obtain.  |

Yes, so far everything I've done has yielded great results. Plugged straight in, pedals, just a boost, single coils, humbuckers, & P90s. So easy to dial in the sweet spot at the exactly the level I need. After all I've read in the pages of this forum, I'm looking forward to getting to know the Ghia better. I'm really enjoying it. I see some tube experimentation in my future.

Congratulations, and welcome to the forum. What speaker do you have in your Avatar Vintage 1x12? Thank you. Well, I've had the cab long before the Ghia. The speaker that's in there is a Fane Medusa 150C. The cab is a closed back. It has serious thump if you want it. I am quite pleased with the pairing. |

Congrats on the Ghia. I had mine rocking the other day. Glad to see you have the volume knob pointed in the correct direction!! Use the guitar volume for clean. The Ghia works great like that.

Well alright...
I've run the full gamut of shows & gigs that our band performs, & the CG is a versatile & wonderfully easy tool to use. I am VERY pleased with the sounds it produces. Love, love, love this amp ! Looking forward to the years we will have together. Just two knobs, yet just the right amount of everything.

Just another testimony to the QUALITY of this amplifier.....
It took about a 4ft fall off of my handtruck this weekend, in nothing but a padded clamshell, landing on the cement sidewalk. I was cussing myself & feeling gutted. The next day after I settled down, I pulled the Ghia out of its case. No new blemishes on it, no bends in the chassis, tubes in tact. I turned it on & it works just dandy. Whew !!!
I love you Carmen Ghia !
