Sounds great--of course, Dave's demos always sound great, but this one REALLY sounds great. Do I need another amp? Can we talk about what the meaning of the word "need" is?

If it sounds like a classic DR, yet includes (1) 20/40 watt, switchable, (2) Middle control knob, (3) Footswitchable EQ bypass/boost, and (4) Master volume (is it PPIMV?),
...then I'm speechless. Fair price, too!

Fair price, too! It does have a PPIMV I don't know where to begin with this......... I know what Joe will be using for his next gig / album for sure!! How much do you think this would compliment my Therapy??? Oh boy, I had better get saving my pennies!!!!

I hate to get all inappropriate here with my language, but holy ******* **** Dave killed it with that demo. Absolutely killed it in every take. The amp sounds downright amazing.

Z
Which I am totally accustomed to in the way it responds and can be used. I honestly see this as a benefit, in my case anyway. Dave's demo was just like throwing gas on an open fire for me. If I didn't already have one ordered that would have done it. He had me at "Sleepwalk". Wow!!

And is it my imagination, or is that reverb a little wetter than what I've come to expect from my Maz Jr.?

And is it my imagination, or is that reverb a little wetter than what I've come to expect from my Max Jr.? Most likely ! It's sounds sublime....like the reverb in my EZG-50 head and Z-Verb

Wow, beautiful design (and Dr.Z knows design like no other). Love the sound of the verb and trem. Nice and light and looks really great. This is gonna be a great, great club amp. Maybe it could eventually be available as a 2X10 combo too ; > )

And is it my imagination, or is that reverb a little wetter than what I've come to expect from my Maz Jr.? The JAZ reverb was "more" compared with the MAZ, and it sounds like that's carried over to the Z LUX. Combo like the one in the demo is on order.

Awesome amp! And I love the font on the front panel.. Looks straight out of Hill Valley circa 1955!! "Once this baby hits 8 on the dial, you're gonna hear some serious sh**!

I agree that it sounds fabulous, and the features - trem, reverb, master volume, 20/40 watt and boost are really useful.
I'd like to know more about the Z 12" speaker. Forum Admins - is it time to create a new section for Doc's 10" & 12" speakers?
