It's not the price that hurts me, it's the shipping, duty and tax. On 3500 for an amp and cab it will cost another 1000 to ship, another 1000 for tax and duty making it at least a $5,500 US purchase for me.

Hopefully they get one of these at Mass St by my home base. That is until I "find a way" as the good doctor put it.
As far as the EF86s fiestared69, I had problems with mine until I switched to Dario Miniwatt NOS. Don't even remember what I used before. I also, depending on the venue and volume needed, will sometimes put my Stangray head on a crate or something behind the cab. At extreme volumes I was getting some rattle out of the EF86, at least when I went crazy on my Sun Face. Setting the head somewhere other than on top of the cab fixed it immediately, and people always think I have a custom Dr. Z combo!

Almost same for me here in Spain (the dealer announces the Remedy as 'the latest addition to the catalog'...), so I guess I'll never get to see one live here... Anyway, tons of tone!!!!

20 sheckles...unless you haggle. I don't care who you are, that's funny. Reminds me of my honeymoon in Mexico!

Well guess I will probably be getting one for me. I'm a little on the fence tho. Before I bought my first Z, which was the Srangray, I almost pulled the trigger on a Bruno Underground30. Money wasn't really the issue at the time and still isn't. It came down to what I thought I needed to put "my" sound together with. I'm sure it is an amp to be revered for quality and tone as all of the docs creations are. What it really comes down to is it an amp that I'll drag in and out of all the little bars and not hire security to watch my gear. It's bad enough already with my current setup and if it's not a gigable rig then it's a waste of money IMHO.

:-( Maybe there will be a way down the road to just purchase the head. I will buy it anyway even though I already own 5 DR Z Cabs already. I really don't need number 6 - but what you going to do. When you think about the cost consider there are 600.00 worth of speakers alone. I also can't see getting rid of my Ray. From what I hear in the un-official Dave Baker Z Wreck Demo the tone on this amp is not the same as a Ray. edited to add:

Great discussion and some funny stuff too! 2500 bills for a Grosh? Before I post a pic of my grosh Turbojet (1st production unit) with it's Blown 59 pickups, charcoal burst finish with painted headstock and a CERES certified Brazalian Rosewood fretboard I will tell you now I will own the Wreck........not even a thought process. My dealer is on board and I will be putting a deposit down on Saturday even though orders are not being taken yet. This sweetheart was a lot more than $2500 and worth every penny. Cheers my friends! Jeff

The finish on the TJ is simply beyond description. I told my son this would be his college graduation present....I am a selfish turd at times and this guitar has made me want to play again an more. I am going to get him an Electrojet custom based upon what he has told me and his style. It will have fat 60s in the neck and middle and one of Don's 'buckers" in the hole batting cleanup. Peace, Jeff

Well I'm not hesitating on getting a Zwreck at all. As far as I'm concerned I already own one they just haven't built it yet....hahaha
That's my justification for being a lefty and unable to get a Crook.

I would definitely like to see another video with the Z-Wreck put through the paces (i.e., clean to mean). Regardless, I see a Z-Wreck in my future. Please don't make it a limited run though. Got to save up the cash that will be well spent!

Unfortunately I have no practical use for one right now. I have my Ray and am VERY happy with it. I would have to get rid of it in order to make room for a Z-Wreck and I just don't know if I could muster up the strength to do that.

Jeff Wow that's a beaut. I really wish there was a dealer close by so I could try out one of those. I couldn't drop that kinda cash on something from a brand I've never tried. I guess I'll have to stick to PRS ;D.

I guess I'll have to stick to PRS ;D. While I don'r personally care for the flasher wood grains. I own an EJ Custom. IMHO it's an extremely easy guitar to play. The turbo jut has to have the same overall feel. I have owned some PRS.. I currently own 2 Customshop Masterbuilt Fenders. I'd have to say my EJ is the best player amongst the rest. I have a Crook Tele and a Lentz HSL on the way so the EJ may have some competition. However I can't imagine something playing any better than my EJ. The Crook and the Lentz will be lighter weight and they are after-all true Custom built guitars. The Grosh in my O is a finer player than a PRS. By a long shot

Keith Hey Keith In Alberta it would !! They only have a federal 5% GST tax...compared to the HST of 13% in Ontario say. So as for the price...say $3900 + 5% would give you $4,095. Compared to $4,405 That's the reason why after crunching the numbers for a day or two, the ZWreck has been taken off the very top of my list and pushed much further back down, quite unfortunately. I don't foresee seeing a used one popping up here in town anyday soon either! B
