Hey Zac yet another question for you. The Axess BS-2 Buffer that Brad uses? Is it going from the effects than to the amp, Or is his guitar plugged into it first and than to the effects?

Zac, I see you interviewed Richard Bennett for the latest Vintage Guitar edition. What a nice guy! I stumbled onto his music by way of iTunes about a year ago, and we ended up trading several emails.
He told me all about the gear he was using, playing with Knopfler, etc. Really enjoyed reading his emails...he is one tasty guitarist who has an unbelievable discography...has played with or recorded just about everybody.

Hey Zac, Mind giving me the rundown on Brad's new guitar he played on the ACM awards, they say it is a relic pailsey but it looks really orange. And could you tell me what pick-up is in it?
Thanks, Chris

'An ACM heads-up for all the guitar aficionados out there…..tonight’s guitar for the opening song, The World, is a new 1968 Pink Paisley Fender Telecaster replica.
Made by Crook Custom Guitar (www.crookcustomguitars.com ) it has an aged ash body with a one piece maple neck.
The single pickup, which replicates the old Esquire models, is a Peter Florence Voo Doo pickup. This guitar also has a McVay G Bender as do all of Brad’s guitars except his Black and Red Paisley Strat
This guitar was made as a special edition copy of Brad’s 1968 Pink Paisley Tele for the ACM award show.'
'i just talked to bill about that one this morning - yes its a relic but if you all noticed--it had a darker patina to it than his original - some aged differently than others - this one was the result of a photoshop that brad sent to bill of a guitar that he had seen'

I missed seeing you on stage this year in the ACM show! Last year I thought it was cool that Brad's tech was also one of the players on stage!

Zac, first I just want to thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge here. As for my question...
I am thinking about getting a "vintage" guitar (something before the '80s). I would be most interested in a tele. I'm in no hurry, so I can take time to search. Do you have any advice on where to get started? For example: what types of things should I look for that are good/bad signs, where should I look, how much should I expect to spend for a decent guitar?
Thanks! Andy

Hey Zac, I was curious on Paisley's early 63 strat, with the reissue neck, is the reissue neck a custom shop or just the reissue nitro laquer ones. I believe there was a time fender was making great reissue's closer to the originals until custom shop. Any idea what year his reissue neck is?
