Hey Zac, got a question about Paisley's amps on the Christmas album. I read that Brad used the Stang Ray alot on the album, but I can't figure out what he was using on the Jingle Bells instrumental. It's got more drive than I would expect out of the Ray. Is that the RxES, or is it the Ray with some sort of drive pedal? The clarity is making me think it's the Ray with some sort of boost. Thanks Brad used the following on that song: Pink 68' Tele KT45 – Celestion Golds 62’ Vox AC30 Aqua Puss Zendrive (solo) Zac

Zac, Noticed you guys are using a Axess buffer in the rig, how is it being used, where do you have it placed in the signal chain and where are you thoughts on it? Do you like the sound, does it color the signal any, how do the vintage guitars respond to it? Thanks, Randy It is used as a splitter right before the amps live, and in the studio to split between amps, a tuner, an possibly a direct line for re-amping purposes, or mixing some of the direct sound in. Hey Zac, any inside scoop on how the recording process is going on Brad's new album? I heard he's in the studio and was wondering if there are any new gadgets or gear he's experimenting with?

Is Brad using Alnico Gold's nowadays with his higher powered amps, like the Rx? Or is he using strictly Blues?

The Mazerati did use blues, and the speakers were wired in series, for a 16 ohm load. Zac

thanks zac, I would need two 8 ohm speakers to wire for 16 ohms correct? and also what would be the difference in sound running at a 16 ohm load as opposed to a 4 ohm load?

Hey Zac, do you know if Brad is using the RxES any on the new record? I loved his live sound with the RxES and StangRay mixed, and was just curious if he was recording anything with that setup? Thanks

Hi Zac, I was wondering what type of rack mounted guitar wireless system Brad is using these days? I'm about to spend some good money on a new setup, and I'd rather have one that performs well, rather than a cheap one. I figure, if Paisley's using it, it's gotta be the best! Thanks! BTW, do you think that you'll ever get a chance to make your back up here to Alaska? I enjoyed talking with you when you were up here in'04!

Hey Zac. Any word on how much Brad is using the new Galaxie amp for the new record? I heard he recorded with it on Dr. Z's update, so just wondering how it's being incorporated into the rig?

Zac-
Heard Brad had a Bruno amp in his live rig recently. Is that right? Just trying to mix in a different tone with the Z's?

Just wondering if Brad is still using his Weber speakers any on tour? I see he's been doing some stuff with the new Celestion Golds lately (fantastic speakers by the way), but I was just wondering if the Golds replaced the Webers?

Zac, I recently bought a ES RX head and have been playing around with different ohm loads, I first tried a couple of old 8 ohm Jensen's in the 8 ohm jack of the RX the speakers are wired parallel, I thought it sounded a little sterile so I plugged the same speaker con fig into the 16 ohm and the amp really came alive especially when using the overdrive. I felt this con fig best represented Brads tone but will this tear up the amp.

Hello Zac.
I was talking to a buddy of mine today and we got into the subject of delays. He brought up the Aqua Puss and said that BP used one. To make a long story short, I didn't believe him so I remembered I have the Guitar Player that goes into depth about his rig. Sure enough, it mentions the Aqua Puss and the fact that Brad uses one. What kind of delay does he set it for? I was under the impression that his line 6 rack pieces were the delay source. I would love to know how Brad sets his Aqua Puss if you wouldn't mind and how/for what he uses it. They are great pedals.
While I have your ear, I would also like to know what you think would be a decent replacement (delay wise) for a TC 2290. Actually not a replacement as much as a "holy crap I cannot find or afford a 2290" instead of...
thank you Zac,
Bill Ballato (bilbal)
