UPS had it out for delivery at 5:30 am. It showed up at 7:30 pm. But it's here. Sounds like a Z Wreck should. I've not had time to compare the combo to the head/cab set. Now, here's what I know some of you want to hear: it weighs 47.2 lbs without a Brake Lite. My Ghia 1x10 (Red Fang) w/ BL is 39.2 lbs. Call it 2 lbs. for the Brake Lite. So if you're willing to move 10 lbs. more weight and take over less than half a sq ft of additional floor space you can gig a Wreck in place of a 1x10. This could get very interesting. Oh yeah, you need pictures, don't ya. Get 'em here

That is one sharp lookin amp there. Love how the grill cloth has texture. Is the speaker 16 ohms?

My car was full of stuff SWMBO wanted moved. Had it not been, the amp would have come with me. I think you're mistaking me for jaguarguy Mike, btw. Maybe. (I'm lucky to be able to indulge in the gear, and I know it.)

What is the orientation of the tubes in the combo? How do the tubes sit in this amp? Do they hang from the chasis like say a Maz combo???

He has several of most models including very early examples and prototypes. Have fun. Your new amp will still be new when you get home. ...Like Lee said....can't wait for your full report. ...do you think you'll gig with it? ....also, your weigh in is a little heavier than the reported weight. Seem to weigh about the same as a Maz Jr 1-12 combo. Still not bad for the mighty Z Wreck in a combo package.

Enjoyed the photos, living vicariously through your opening the box and unpacking.
Brought back memories of when the Maz 18 arrived.
Enjoy turning the dials, adding extension speakers, and the search continues.

What is the orientation of the tubes in the combo? How do the tubes sit in this amp? Do they hang from the chasis like say a Maz combo??? Pretty sure the standard Z-Wreck chassis is 'sideways' (flipped 90 degrees)in the combo. So, the tubes are flat facing towards the black vent at the front of the amp. Keith

Keith That's how it is: standard chassis flipped so that controls are on top. Faceplate is reversed so that you can read it from the front side of the amp. (In the combo pic that originally was out, and is / was on the Z website, the faceplate has not been reversed.)

Does anyone know if this is going to be a regular production item for some time to come? I'm definitely interested, but I'll need to sell a few things first and being the packrat that I am it may take a little time to get rid of all the stuff I'll need to in order to finance this lovely gem of an amp.

She looks like a beaut! I can't wait to hear your opinions regarding the combo. I am especially interested in any perceived volume difference between the combo and 2x12 + head setup.

I had to sell my silver head and cab a couple of years ago for financial reasons, so I am having to go by memory. The combo seems to have a bit narrower, tighter and more powerful focus in the "zone". What I mean by that is the point on the volume control under the speed setting where the amp goes into overdrive and begins to chirp, chime and sing. The amp can do many things, but the "zone" is what made me hand over my credit card for the second time. I love this thing!

I haven't gotten to the a/b of the two Wrecks, but I did get some time in today with a Les Paul. I've got to try the Brake Lite too, because I think this amp with the BL could get tapped for gig duty next weekend.
