I ordered a Z wreck combo today after much deliberation between the new combo or the head/cab. I play live a lot. We play fairly loud. I just felt the cab and head may be ever so slightly more than what I need. I also wasn't 100% sold on the silver color, even though that is a pretty sweet looking amp. Portability is a factor so the combo won that argument. I like to run my amps hot. I run my JAZ 20/40 really hot. I just felt like maybe I'll be able to push the combo a little bit more than the head and cab. What do you guys think? This was a huge decision for me to make.
Btw, seeing that deep blue color of the Z Wreck combo on kind of a British looking amp really had me going!

I have a regular (not quantum silver) head in a regular size head cab (red), and a 1 x 12 Dr Z convertible cab (red) with a Celestion Gold. All I can say is, "Brother are you ever in for a wonderful surprise!" Killer rig!!!! DIG!

Can't go wrong with either! Congrats on the purchase!
I think for a gigging musician, the combo is the way to go. It will weigh less the 45 pounds with the attenuator or 40 without. Not having the blue might impact the tone a little...but the different wood in the cab construction might make it sound better. Its not as black and white like some might think in that aspect.

^^^^^ Unfortunately, I cannot say. Actually, I have 2 of the above mentioned 1 x 12 Z cabs each with a C Gold in them. I do not have a Blue in the house, but I can say the amp is quite bodacious with two golds hooked up and that Wreck V @ 10:00!

I unpacked mine this evening, but that's as far as I got. That's how it usually goes for this family man. I only have to put in four hours at work tomorrow and the family will be out of the house tomorrow afternoon. It's going to be a good day!

I would love to have to make the decision between head and combo. Sadly it's not in the cards (wallet)right now. Enjoy that amp.
