Concluded first run out with new board setup: Keeley Stuff > RC > OCD > FDII > BB > wiggly/time stuff > amp
I haven't been this eager/motivated to get set up and make noise in a long, long time! Wow - had an absolute blast playing.
Never really found that great 'gain' drive pedal - kicked that BB on at the first sound check and everyone had the same look on their face. They were talking about it the next afternoon at lunch....and the next day, and the day after that... ;D
I'm simply at a loss for words...other than "wow".

Dan, Care to share your settings? Any trouble with feedback?
I've not twiddled much but at gig volume with my 66 I get feedback..singles, 'buckers..don't matter???
Anybody else??

When I had the BB, it sat right beside an FD2. I could make them sound exactly the same. EXACTLY. Sounded the same, felt the same, reacted the same. Sold the BB, only because the FD2 can also do more if I need it.

It's in the pedalboard about 1000 miles from here at the moment. Won't see it again until Sunday in Houston. Will note where it's set. That said, I think I had it Gain: 1; V: 12?; T: 12; B: 1? That was w/ash body guitars running ceramic single-coil pups into a Maz Sr 212. I've been fiddling with it - things sound different at home/studio vs the live dynamic so it was tweaked a bit over the week. Rockin' like Dokken!

I can only say that in my pb there are now
RC booster > OCD > FD2 > Dist Pro. An RC booster makes shine others

Oh oldster thank you, I'm the first who needs some other's experiences, expecially by expert people as many on this forum. Nobody to talk of Z's with, here in Italy. Anyway I play since I was 9, (now I'm 31) and even if this isn't my job I play quite often and tried some gear I can tell about.
Thanks to Z people I found RC booster and owning it by last week I'm in love with it. I can only thank you to make me know tools I would have never known here

I used the BB with my Stingray last weekend and it was glorious! Everything at noon except the Treble at 10 o'clock. Holy cow! Made my Tele sound like a Les Paul into a Marshall! One thing I really dug about it is how it made my guitar sustain for so long. I could turn around and point the strings at my speakers and get it to sing forever. Loads of fun.

Oh, man. You guys are killin' me. I'm gassin' bad for a BB...at least I have a Luxury Drive that's suppose to arrive at my door tomorrow. Then on to a BB and an RC and an AC...I'm not feelin' too good. I think I've got pedal tummy...

tele62, I also get a good amount of feedback with a good amount of gain dialed in. Dunno why, but I can control it. I'm liking it more set to a volume boost with a pinch of gain.

Guitarstan??? GAS G A S G A S !!!! But I think there are some gadjets justified by GAS, Z amps and Xotic in first line... Money spent for lifetime gear.

another BB user here. i've found it to be much better fit with me than AC as an overall "running out the door" OD box. i usually use it in tandom with RC and let RC do the volume boost part while setting BB as a unity gain (as in volume level) device. i usually have my gain set to 10~11 o'clock. but i also set my amps to be on the verge of OD.

Just spent the whole afternoon/night playing with just the BB and my Route 66 ... holy cow! The trick (for me) seems to be having RT66 Volume around noon, Treble 2 o'clock, Bass at 9 o'clock and BB Gain not more then 10 o'clock but Volume on the BB around 2 o'clock ... EQ at noon. Retains the sound of the RT66 but just kicks it in hyper drive ... sustain and harmonics galore!!!
Seems like it works much better by keeping Gain on BB low but adjusting the amount of dirt with Volume and pushing the RT66 into natural overdrive ... so much more dynamic that way then getting more of the dirt from BB by cranking the gain.

Yeah, I think I have my BB gain set at around 1 o'clock or so. Maybe even closer to noon. But using my Tele I need the BB treble turned back to about 10:30 o'clock or 11 o'clock - boy it was sure sounding great tonight!

BB is a good enough pedal for different guitar and amp set ups where you can just dial the eq according to your taste and let the pedal shine.Z amps and Xotic BB is a great combo.IMO.
