Tell us about the Dhyana? The Dhyana is an interesting pedal. I typically just use overdrives to push my amp a little harder and as a result, have gravitated towards pedals with high headroom and low compression (i.e. Timmy). I got the Dhyana because I wanted to try something outside of my wheelhouse just to see where it took me. This pedal really shines with the gain cranked and adds a lot of compression and sustain. I'm not sure what the circuit topology is, but as far as EQ is related, it can go from flat EQ to adding a ton of bass. I have found a lot of use for it fattening up bridge single coils and getting a great sustaining lead tone. Thank you.

Here's my latest iteration. Praise Band is back up so I need some ambience, and the HX Effects is great for that. Order of signal is: Tuner-Wah-Fuzz-Drives-Hx Effects-Delay-Volume Pedal. It's quiet and works great!

Looks great Dave! I have yet to become an ambiance chaser re Sunday morning tuneage, but I respect the players that can utilize those effects in a non-distracting way.

I put together a smaller board for my Rock of Ages Big Band gigs this year. The big one above I plan to keep at church, this one will be doing Christmas gigs this season. Smaller and lighter!

Order a Temple Audio Duo 24 after spending time with the "planner." It didn't fit like they said it would. So...since I had all the pedals off I added two Chase Tone selections and rearranged a bit.

Looks like it is almost time for some new Velcro Dave, but you do have all the major food groups on there!! It looks that way because I actually do it opposite of everyone else. I use the hook side on the board, and the fuzzy side on the pedals. Otherwise my pedals pick up all the lint or any hair that's on the carpet. It started when I had my Golden Retriever and she shed like crazy. My pedals looked like dirty hairbrushes!

Here's my latest. The Tumnus found it's way on this board due to how it sounds with a strat.

I’m sure I’ll have some issues! I must say that I really like that chorus pedal! That’s from a guy who can’t stand chorus!

So many amazing boards! Are most people going straight into the front of their Z then? Is anyone sending ambient effects through their loop?

I have a TC Flashback followed by a Hard Wire Supernatural reverb in the loop of my Maz 8. I tried running them into the front of the amp, with 3 or 4 other pedals, but I started to detect a little tone suck. Using the loop fixed that.

I run delay, chorus, tremolo, and reverb through the loop of my CAZ 45.

Just for fun... Setting up this 5' board opening for the Doobies. Probably weighed 70 pounds. Plywood and 2x6's cut to make it work. Wifey brings a beer (same show)! I think the crowd got more of a kick out of that than the band. On the left is some Roland midi pedals controlling a Roland Fantom synth, and a rocktron midi controller doing patch changes for that. On the right is another midi controller dealing with patch changes on tc g-major for the guitar, an volume pedal use as an expression pedal there, robostomp tuner, ts9, fulltone choral flange, teece wah. Note the handle at the bottom front which is "out" causing the whole thing to rock every time I stepped on anything and I never figured it out. Otherwise, it had 4 rubber feet like on an amp. You get about 15 minutes to setup, oh well. Same band, this year opening for I don't remember, but we were a rush tribute and rush was playing the big stage right behind us and they all seemed to show up to see us. It poured right before we went on and they dropped the canopy while I was backstage which dropped probably 1000's of gallons of water on the stage right where my pedals were and my drummer friend noticed it and pulled all my crap out of the way to save the day. I love that guy. Same basic setup, but I cut that board in 1/2 and used one side for the synth stuff and the other side for the guitar stuff. Graduated from a HK Triamp to a Splawn quickrod there. Same band, opening for Heart. It poured again, but this time while we were playing. We played about 2 minutes in what felt like a hurricane and I thought I was going to die, for real. We eventually stopped, let the rain pass, and then continued, but you can tell by the water on the stage what that was like. Same amp and pedalboard. Today, the basement, just a bunch of crap flowing in and out and a bunch of stuff piled on each other. I gave up making "a pedal board". It changes every day and I swap in our out 4 or 5 pedals. Just a mess, and I don't give a you know what. Maybe last but not least, my LP standard was used for all that stuff and I still think it's my best sounding guitar.

My first pedalboard build is complete! I have a Plumes still coming that I expect to replace the FD2. Hole at middle top wants a Deja Vibe.

It's one of the most versatile TS type pedal that I have used. I don't currently have it on one of my boards but it's just because I have several other OD pedals that I like better. I'm basically a dirt pedal junky. Ha! Enjoy the Plumes when you get it though!

I really don't have "a lot" of dirt pedals on my board. I just have a lot of stock. Ha! I usually have a lighter gain OD and then a medium gain OD or a mild distortion. Then stack as needed. Then my larger board usually has two fuzzes and then the smaller board has one. But those combinations will usually get me where I need to go.

After using a Waggi board for a few years, I've switched to a Pedal Pad. I liked the Waggi a lot but the bag was starting to fall apart and I wanted something with a hard case to protect my pedals through the rigors of gigging. I ended up with a Pedal Pad because I love the hinged top - makes it so easy to put cables underneath! I also love the fact that I can unlatch and lift off the lid and boom, I'm ready to go. I ordered the board big enough so that I could add a loop switcher. The QMX 6 is perfect for me because I don't need any sort of fancy programming or switching. All in all, I'm really really pleased with this board, so much so that I don't even have GAS for any new pedals. I'm sure that'll change at some point, but for now I'm living the contented life! Signal chain: Guitar --> Tuner --> QMX 6 --> Valbruch Pipeline (underneath; always on) --> Amp Loop 1: Diamond Boost Loop 2: PJ Gold Loop 3: JHS Angry Charlie Loop 4: Rockaway Archer (solo boost) Loop 5: Providence Anadime Chorus Loop 6: Valbruch Spacetime Delay

I generally try and keep the pedal collection to a minimum so it’s very rare when I see a board containing 3 pedals I’m lusting after! The 2 Jams and the Discovery - would love to hear about your thoughts on the Suhr delay! (The monk and Wahcko I KNOW I want already)
