Just upgraded size from a Pedaltrain Mini to a Pedaltrain Metro 24. Also now powered by the PT Volto 2. No extra extension cord now: Underside showing Volto location: That is a really a addictive board that will get the job done! I'm somewhat a newbie to the volto and what the rest of you are all doing for power underneath. Is the power running from the volto as clean and reliable as the t-rex or voodoo? I would like to learn a little more before purchasing a volto. I spent so much time comparing my prized pedals and just figured t-rex or voodoo were the best and only power options.

Prior to using the Volto 2 , I was using a One Spot , so I don't have experience with the power supplies you mention. I will say that the Volto has been quiet and totally reliable. But if you have 18 volt pedals , it won't work. 9 volt only.

It's funny because I purchased the mini board from you and recently purchased a metro 24. Many of the type of selections you made on your board are very similar to mine. After years went by and thousands of dollars spent... I think I nailed it on this one. The small add of a EQ pedal for cleans was the missing link. If you want a quick layout picture message your email to me. I don't know how to post pictures on the Z forum.

So now you have to tell us about this Rubberneck! I dig it a bunch. I love the features. It's kind of like the Way Huge Supa-Puss. I have the DigiTech FS3X footswitch. Which is nice because you can turn on & off the Rate & depth knobs, tap tempo plus the rubberneck feature. All the controls are interactive. The send out I have the EQD Levitation Reverb on the repeats only. kind of cool. I might add a fuzz or DigiTech Whammy Ricochet. Cheers

Still trying to figure out a configuration, and I likely need a bigger board, but I've been jamming with the four on the board exclusively for a bit and they are staying on.

Novo 32 PT3 - always on mode with Bonafide buffer. When PT3 inserted in signal chain path, if footswitch set mute, thru signal is disconnected. Added footswitch bump protector (aka. Axle Push Nut ). Check out BTPA.com for pedalboard accessories and To AMP backline GI22-XX Cable well constructed.

I took a chance on Volto 2 also. Absolutely love it. Reliable and it is nice not having to hook up to AC power. Very happy with effects. HOF Mini Reverb is quite nice. Barber OD pedals have become my favorites. Even the Mini Z likes them

I had that problem also. In my case, I decided I had too many effects. Off to Ebay they went. I LOVE effect pedals...too much.

That's pedals without a board... Actually, the Red Snapper is probably my all time favorite overdrive (the KoT is close second), but these days I like the EQ boost of my Z-Lux even more. The Astro Tone is the most reliable fuzz I've had (so easy to make it sound good), but lately I may even prefer the Sunface (so easy to make it sound awful, but you also can make it sound good... and sometimes just fabulous!)

It's been a while since I posted an update. Here's the current board, just assembled/modified a day ago. Not yet battle tested, but sounding good at home. Conceptually, I'm using the Riverside as additional "channels" for the amp and the Sunset as OD and boost. Compressor is in between, and I can run it into an OD sound (on the Riverside) or after an OD sound (from the Sunset). At least, that's the theory. We'll see.

Strymon's usually need some big power. I don't have any experience with the Sunset or Riverside though.

Strymon's usually need some big power. I don't have any experience with the Sunset or Riverside though. It seems to be working fine with the old 1Spot, Lou. These Strymons specify 250 ma each, and the 1Spot claims to be able to deliver 1700 ma, as I recall. I used the board at last night's gig, and all seemed to be fine. "Seemed" here meaning I had no issues with sound crapping out or distorting, but with the onslaught of drums, vocals, etc. there was no way to tell if a bit of tone suck was occurring. I had been using a Volto, but mine's getting a bit old, and I wasn't sure it was up to the Strymons' current draw. It worked fine with one Strymon, but I didn't want to push the Volto.

Early Christmas present. Holeyboard Dragonfly 2.0 in Chili Pepper Red. Very cool design. Pretty fun set up too. Using my Pedal Power 2 Plus to power it....except the Black Cat Vibe. It is an odd AC powered pedal.

It is an odd AC powered pedal. I like the functionality of the Holeyboard, but do you carry it with any protection? In my situation, I have 3 knucklehead horn players helping tear down gear at the end of the gig, and the first thing I do is get my guitar, Z amp and pedalboard in covers/cases. Real nice selection of pedals! Bet it sounds great.

But will let you know how it travels when I put it through its paces.
