Also, on you signature "Yard sale this Sat" is that kind of like that sign at the neighborhood pub that says "Free Beer Tomorrow"?

Yea... kinda like it's never REALLY gonna happen BUT IT SHOULD....somethings GOTTA give... ;D
I need to thin the herd but i've been sayin that for 2 years now.... it's EASY to get em but HARD to let em go even if your not really playin em that much (like my tweeds)...
so I sez's to myself... self..... ummm....... well, I might NEED that bassman one day for something that needs.... a bassman!?!
Or like your wife's having a yard sale and YOU weren't around when she was putting it together so you show up in the middle...she's sold all your old guitar mags, comic books...
but honey that spiderman comic book was sooo old it was issue #1, I didn't think it was worth anything...
OR but honey, that OLD 1960 something piece of junk black face looking fender amp that you've been planning on fixing up for years... a guy named; bluzsteel I think it was.... offered me$100.00 FOR IT, (sounding real exited like she's done you a favor) so I took it quick before he changed his mind... he said something about being more of a Z-natic than a fender kinda guy; whatever that means, and ALMOST walked away... but I GOT YOU $150.00!!! ;D ;D
Sooo your running behind her trying to put things BACk in the house faster than she can bring em out and sell em....

hang on to that old stuff as long as you can. value is going up constantly. I'm preparing myself to be shocked and sickened (and happy about the pieces I'm holding) at the Dallas Vintage Guitar Show coming up.

Hey guys, 4 people have purchased the Y cable adapter. Glen, did your arrive yet? I shipped out early last week. Sounds like you and Jason have some G.A.S. contest or something going!
Jason, we finished up your stuff tonight. The 14 gauge speaker cables turned out real nice. I really like the Dayton Audio large bodies we use for the speaker cables. Your stuff should be in the mail tomorrow.

Todd,
I got my cables today in the mail... VERY NICE... Great quality... I really like the speaker cables too!!
BOTH the Y adapter and the standard speaker cables are real heavy duty... heavy... and I like the RED shrink wrap on the speaker stuff.. between that red wrap and the Large body jacks I could easily find/ separate these cables quickly even on a dark stage!!
kinda feel dumb getting stoked on some cables but I've spent so much over the years on the FRONT side of the amp and I think I've somewhat neglected the back side... ;D
I got mine in the mail last week, maybe its me, but I swear the amp just seems more responsive with your connector back there as opposed to the radio shack mono to mono Y splitter I was using for a little over a week. That things pretty heavy duty, very nice!
One more question, do you think I did any damage to the amp with that cheap-o splitter plugged into it for about a week (average 2 hours a day use)?

Just curious, arent some 1-12 cabs availible with a series jack plate (1- input, 1-output ) and with that you could use any old speaker cable from the amp output to the ext. cab, and then simply plug the amps internal speaker cable into the other jack on the ext. cab?? provided that the cable is long enough.

Yes there are... my THD 2x12 cab has a parallel out to use IT as a 2nd cab to a combo OR run another/ 2nd cab from it... BUT the cord in my ghia wasn't long enough...
SO I used my AIRBREAK on top of my ghia combo (WITH THE ATTENUATION OFF) to plug the internal speaker into... then ran out of the Airbreak to the THD cab..from the THD back to the GHIA's internal speakers for EXTENSION SPEAKER SET-UP...
BUT this cord works GREAT, IS SIMPLE and I can use ANY of my 2x12/ 1x12 cabs NOW and not have to use the airbreak just to plug the internal speakers into to make them reach the THD or any other cab I decide to use!! ;D

Todd, I received my Y cable yesterday. It is a VERY solid professionally built piece of gear. I am going to show it to the owner of the local guitar store to see if he wants to offer it to his customers.
I just want to play my Z and not be hassled by The Man...

Hey guys, thanks for the support for the Y cable. Let me know about the local store guy too, that would be great.
In responce to telematic, yes, using your parallel on an extension cab is a great way to go because it does not requir any special cables. We (procables N sound) could make up backing plates for your cabs with a parallel circuit built in. I would want to know if you would be voiding your warranty before doing this though.
tonezelot, about your radio shack y adapter. I would be surprised if you fried anything for just a couple of hours of use. What happens is when you are running the wrong cable or pluged in the wrong impedence output or anything of other "no no's" that are out there is you typically stress the circuit inside your amp. Every has a breaking a point and most circuits have safe operating ranges. Sometime you push youself into the not so safe operating range and for a short period of time your gear will carry the load. If you are really worried about it I would write the dr himself and ask, he would know best. My "opinion" is that you probably did not injure your amp, they are well build with excellent components.

Hey Greg, There is nothing wrong with caution especially when you drop serious money on a very cool sounding amp!

I know this is an old post but PCNS started making a Power Y adapter for the Z amps and I cannot believe its almost been a year already since we made the first one for jgleaton.
I'm very glad it has worked out so well, they are a pain to build but from all feedback they seem to be doing the job and holding up real well.
Merry Christmas, Todd
