I have hung around here since I got my Maz 18NR 2x10 awhile back. That amp is unbeleivable as you all know I am sure. I read a post here comparing the Maz 18 to the Bad Cat Cub 11. Well if you have a specific question, I own both amps, the Bad Cat with is 1x12. I am switching out the stock Bad Cat speaker which I have never considered with the Maz. I find in general the Maz to be chimy vs the Bad Cat being throaty. I find also my tones are easier to dial in with the Maz. For the $$, Dr Z IS IT! I will keep the Cat and it is a very fine amp too, so no offence intended. Visually the Creme Cat is way sexier than the Black Z. So I had to get a Red Z! I did get the chance to hear another player use my rig with his guitars last weekend. He was very happy with the tone as was I. His axe is a PRS MCarty and he uses no picks. Sounded fat and killer.

Cosmetically they may not be the sexiest beasts out there but they do have a way of standing out yet blending in at the same time if that makes any sense. My Maz18w/r 210 is the only amp I play right now. Don't know what the DR does to those 10's but thier never coming out of my amp.

The Zs will run with all the big dogs. When you get in that level of amp they'll all do what they're intended for just fine. The Zs just happen to be much better priced and aren't as heavy! I could be very happy with the lower gain Bad Cats.
