First off I have the head version w/verb and run into an old Garnet cab with 1x12 and a horn, I run a Robert Cray strat straight in no effects. (occasional Zendrive or TS-9 on rock gig)
Thursday I did a blues gig and felt my tone was as good as it's been all summer. My settings were and remain.
Reverb 10 Oclock Cut 11 Master 3-4 Bass 3 Mids 10 treb 1 Vol 11
Used the volume on the guitar for clean up.

Lots of blues sounds, old, jump, rock, Texas, British, all a bit different.

And lots of good sounds on the Z to go along with the music.
I must admit that I've tried a bunch of 'favorite' settings that have been posted across these boards, and I basically like them all. I even kicked in someone's suggest SRV setting where you just crank the bass, cut the mids, and crank the treble.
It seemed a bit extreme, but I gave it a go, and it actually sounded pretty good too.
Too many decisions. Maybe there is something to the simplicty of the Ghia.

I get a great low volume (in an apt building) cleanish blues tone out of my 210 combo with the DR's speakers using the neck and mid/neck on my strat with some old seymour duncan duckbuckers. Saving my money for some Kinmans or similar. Hi Input Volume 9:00 Treble 10:30 Middle 10:30 Bass 3:00 Master 9:00 Cut 9:00 Reverb 10:00 Might add a touch of gain with a TS9 once in a while or move the volume up and the master down. I tried a Ghia 210 combo and fell in love with the sound and its simplicity. Then I went home to my Jr 210 and forgot about the Ghia. I'd love to have a Ghia as well but I dont think I'd give it fair playing time, probly sit in corner most of the time. If I ever come into some decent money it'll be the first thing I scoop up, even before a new vette.
