So I just picked up a 35th to go along with my 20th and 25th Ghia's. Just wondering what tubes came in these from the Doc? I have the two 6n14n output tubes but I have one Tung Sol 12AX7 and one JJ ECC83 (12AX7). Is this how they came? Did someone pinch one of my Tung Sol tubes and swap it for a JJ?
Another question? Is the PPIMV real sensitive. I picked up the amp where I work and stay in a hotel during the week. I had to give it a try so brought a guitar along for this trip. With the volume up at around 2 (with some gain) I have to carefully adjust the master to get it at a hotel room level. The volume goes up quite quickly from then on but I can say it's not a gradual increase, I have to carefully adjust it to get the low volume. Again, I am doing all this in a hotel room so probably won't be an issue at home.
But I have to add that at this extreme low volume it sounds amazing. First tube amp I have ever owned that has this amount of breakup and tone at a whisper with just a cord plugged straight in.
