Well, I am new to the Z universe (and the forum), and only started playing them about 2 years ago when I picked up a Maz Jr mk2. I was hooked. I now have a Z28 mk2 and I thought,man this can't get any better. Well... this CG is flat out awesome. Sounds big for it's size, but what is astounding is how quiet you can go with the Master and still have a really bouncy and sustaining tone. It was also cranked today and,
well you have to play it to believe it. An amp this small doesn't usually have the balls this CG has. It's addicting and I couldn't stop playing this amp tonight, lol. Thanks Doc for this amp!!! Just wanted to share.

It's a truly inspiring amp to play. I love my 35th Anniversary and the 10 inch speaker is great.

Awaiting the return of my CG. I’m having the Master Volume mod done. Once completed it’s returning to its 1x10 cabinet loaded with a gold. Such a great amp. Congratulations and enjoy.

 Woohoo! All set now! I bought my 1st Maz 18 back around 2000. Should have never strayed. Dr Z is all you need. I think about all the amps with multiple channels, modes, etc - plus modelers and the rabbit hole of profiles. These two amps are all I’ll ever need. And their simplicity is unparalleled. My hats off to Dr Z and his team. Outstanding. |
