I got to see Mr. Paisley last night in Boone NC. What a fantastic show on so many levels. His playing was outstanding, and his amazing guitar tone was quite out front in the mix. His band is ridiculous-they are so good.
But the vibe was what really got me. It was such a "feel good" experience, and he found a way to touch all of us in that stadium. I was with my wife, and at the risk of being sappy, he reminded us of how lucky we are to still be together all these years.
I was also surprised at how relatively inexpensive the whole experience was. For example, I went to the merch tent and the shirts started at $25. I about fell over, expecting a much different number.
As I have learned more about Mr. Paisley through the years, I find he is clearly a good person trying to give back as best he can. I hope I can do the same.
I could go on and on. Highly recommended : )

My wife and I were watching a "Somebody Feed Phil" episode filmed in Nashville, and Brad and his wife Kimberly have opened a food bank/market to help those in need. Brad knows he is blessed, but it can also disappear at anytime.

Brad has been my late mid life guitar hero. Growing up it was EVH and others. The big difference is I’ve always said I never wanted to meet those others in case they were a$$e$. Brad, I’d go for a beer with. He’s funny and seems down to earth. His playing is off the charts. His songs have a perfect mix of nostalgia and humour. A nod to the past but not afraid to do his own thing. I’ve seen Brad 3 times. Each time was stellar. I know his music is not for everyone but for me it’s been a constant for the last 15+ years. I’m trying to see him again in the next 2 years as my 18 year old daughter is a big fan, too.
