I could easily get caught up in hunting down the perfect speaker or pickup, or tube, or pedal or ... every other option for everything I get involved in. I have to admit that its fun to do sometimes but, sometimes you never find that magic you think might be hiding out there, and sometimes, as the old saying goes... ignorance is bliss, so the Creamback in the Z-28 Mk II it is,
and darling... it sounds marvelous - Fernando Lamas

The first swap I did with the z-28 mkii gave me what I wanted. The alnico cream is giving me everything I want! The creamback is still great! If it sounds great to you it makes no sense to change it

I absolutely love just about every clip I've ever heard with it, but don't know if I want to go down that road... as much as I loved the CB65 even before getting my Z28. Nick

Nick The Ceramic VS Alnico, the Alnico is always going to be less immediate and smoother. If you like the Ceramic, keep using it.
