I've gonna snag a tremolo pedal to use with my new Z, but I've never owned one before. What's your go to tremolo pedal suggestion?

What's your go to tremolo pedal suggestion? i am loving the Fender MTG Tube Tremolo through my Z-28 mkii! very versatile, and very tweakable. The tube gives it a warm sound that you can use add a beautiful tuba, kind of overdrive, or not. You can also use it as an overdrive pedal if you turn the tremolo off. Tap tempo as well. I also love the fulltone.Supa-Trem jr

Jam Harmonious Monk MKII. The harmonic trem is addictive. Nice amplitude trem too.

Every few years I think I'm going to use tremolo and get one. I never end up using it when I play with others. I have a Coopersounds Pedals Loma Prieta. It's the most flexible and usable tremolo I've ever had. It has the harmonic trem as the main mode, but a switch for a traditional trem to see which you like better. Mine is up in market place.

Strymon Flint. Reverb and Trem in one package. This right here is hard to beat. But for trem only and pure simplicity it doesn’t get much better than the Demeter Tremulator. When just barely cracked on it can thicken up the very low volume tone of an amp say like the Ghia that doesn’t especially like reverb. It’s hard to tell what it is or where it’s coming from, just fattens things up a smidge.

Another vote for the Flint. The harmonic trem setting is very good and held up well against the two vintage Fender brown amps (Concert and Super) I owned with onboard harmonic trem. The other trem settings are also very good.

I’ve have the Flint. It’s a nice pedal due to the combination. But I think other pedals are better for just tremolo. It really depends on what kind of tremolo you want. My favorites are harmonic and bias vary like in the Princeton reverb. I’m not a fan of the Deluxe Reverb optical tremolo as much. Some folk also like the choppy kind of tremolo.
Another dual pedal I own is the Keeley Hydra. It has nice tremolo and reverbs and a few more functions as compared to the Flint. I still prefer the Harmonious Monk for just tremolo though.

My favorite is the Effectrode Delta Trem, but it’s not cheap. Great tremolo control and really warm sounding. Like the trem on the Z-Lux.

The absolute longest running pedal on my board going on like 7 years is the Visual Sound Garage Tone Tremolo. I watch a lot of Rig Rundowns and Brent Mason did one at some point but he never covered a pedal that was on his board. Then at the end of the video he stepped on this Pink Tremolo and the second I heard it I had to find out what it was. It was indeed the Garage Tone. Speed, Wave, Depth is all you get and it’s all I need and I have tried and tried to find another pedal I like more, but I just gave up.
Unless you record or you are going with some digital option to be able to switch to different tremolo sounds you are probably going to stick to one sound. So my suggestion to anyone is find a reference Tremolo Sound that you are shooting for and find something that does it.

Surfytrem is nice. Blackface and Brown harmonic trem and trem practically as good as my Princeton’s.

I love tremolo, it's my favourite effect by far, and I'm a collecting freak too!! I have tried a Fulltone Spa Trem v1, a Supa Trem Jr., an Origin RevivalTrem, a Spaceman Delta II, a Surfy Trem Deluxe, an Effectrode DeltaTrem and, finally, my quest is over: a Kingsley Bard Tremolo. They are all great sounding tremolo effects, each of them has their own 'magic'. It's not cheap at all, but it's the best sounding tremolo I've ever tried, IMHO. It's really 'organic' (I hate using these terms, but it's true) and being a real tube bias tremolo is a plus. Now I feel like I own a highly improved Brownface Deluxe and even better!! Good luck with your quest. Tons of tone!!
