Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should.

IMHO it was a cool limited run guitar with a great story, even though they didn’t build it with the headstock it was designed with. We can’t blame them for cashing in I guess, if they have buyers, they should build guitars.

It looks like an inverted tulip. Maybe the design will grow on me. Then again some product manager may be looking for a job six months from now.

I’ll pass, but the wood grain one in the video is far more tolerable.

I guess that it would stand to reason that if you put out a new design the people that like your old designs probably won't like it. I agree that this one is ugly, but I often struggle with anything that wasn't made for 60 years. Then I think, what other product would we be okay with if all they did was 60 year old designs? It doesn't make me like new stuff better, but I applaud those who try. Someone will love this thing.

I've back and looked at it a couple of times . . . its not a hard "no" for me but there are probably 2 or 3 dozen other guitar shapes I would rather first, maybe more.

Well, I guess we must remeber that when the Explorer and Flying V came out in 1958, people hated them, and they were considered huge failures. sales of them in 58 and 59 were next to nothing, and were discontinued shortly after.
