Been reevaluating my board lately especially since the band at church added a drummer. Between the new rhythm that I don't have to carry and the quality of our keyboard player I'm realizing I had a lot of things on my board that I'm not really using to fill the parts I'm playing most in that context. Not to mention, when I'm jamming at home I most enjoy some gain and delay.
So I decided to order an Astrotone from Analog Mike and I really like this thing. Of coarse the Sunface is great, but I had a hard time using the higher settings very much. But right now I really like the over all tone with the fuzz control cranked and using my volume on the guitar to clean or dirty up what's hitting the amp.
I'm running it with my FA-1 clone and a boost in front of it. Each reacts very differently when I hit the Astrotone with them. The FA-1 gives me a little bit of a zipper fuzz. The boost makes it go bonkers (won't use this tone), but will play some more with backing down the volume with this and see what that will do.

It is a great pedal. It’s on and off my board depending on what I’m playing.

I love that pedal and keep it on my board right next to my LG NKT Red Dot Sunface. It's my "I want fuzz right now, but don't want fuzz right now" pedal LOL!
