Here's a video for my band's song Rotten. I used video from the basic tracking sessions we did for the recording.
We played all the songs live, bass going direct, the drums mic'd and my amp mic'd in another room. We kept all the drums and most of the bass and then all the guitar parts were overdubbed and running through my 2010 1x12" Carmen Ghia. (i did play the solo live and it was pretty good but we dubbed it anyway and you can see that my hands won't match the audio) the intro audio fragment was lifted from a video i made on my cell phone when i was first writing the song. the words are: "(grew up) in the suburbs somewhere... went to school, got a degree.... dreams, dreams, dreams... lost, stolen and forgotten"

I hear 2 influences that stick out to me, one being the Allman Bros (about 3:20) and early Who (about 4:20). But the rest takes me back to the creative and raw form of the late 60's/early 70's. These ARE compliments!! Love it!

Wow! I hear so much Zappa on this track! I'll take it.
i do sing in the first verse... "listening to Floyd, Zappa and Yes... how he'd turn out was anyone's guess"
