Happy New Year Z Talk! I do appreciate you all. It's a good group of musicians : )
It appears my Brake Lite went down on the gig last night. I run a Z Wreck SR/Brake Lite/Gold 112 cab.
I have the Brake Lite Install hard wired inside my cab. I switched the male plug to a speaker jack, and it lives in the cab. I typically never use it, it stays in the 0 position. Last night we played for the Country Club folks, and I clicked it to 1 to appease the powers that be.
After a few minutes the amp started making this horrible noise. It was hard to track down the source at first, as I use in-ears.
I tested it this morning, and in the process blew a fuse in the Wreck. I replaced the fuse, went straight from the Wreck to the Gold, and so far it seems good to go again.
Any thoughts? I imagine I need to send it in to the good doctor.

My gut feeling is you have a brewing tube problem rather than a problem with the brake lite and the noise and fuse blow were coincidence. I'd do some playing with the back off the Wreck and the back facing me and look for weird tube things, arching, red plating, etc., especially in the rectifier and power tubes. There's not much that can fail in a brake lite, though I guess it's possible.

Thanks for the input. That does seem plausible.
I did a little investigating while testing this morning. All the tubes appeared normal, and passed the eraser tap test.

I went through the Doc's troubleshooting this time, but it didn't take long. The rectifier started arching in step two. I replaced the rectifier and finished the steps to be safe. Everything looks good.
