I've been very curious since they came out. I was in Chicago Music Exchange and the salesman there was telling me the story of Brad getting that guitar. The one that those pickups were made for. I just don't have a guitar to put them in. I may pick up a Chapman and try them in that. If you pull the trigger, let me know what you think of them.

That clip is killer!! I've watched it several times!! I am pretty close to doing something on a new set of pickups...I do have an inquiry in with a Canadian winder who also does a "Paisley" set so I might go that route instead. Will def keep you posted,

I tried a set in Tele a few years back. They were not for me. That being said, me ears are really tuned to lower output and alnico 5s (Fralin Vintage Hots are my favorites). Something about the A2s and A4s are too soft and squishy to my ear.

Met a guy with a Fender BP Tele and these pickups installed. Into my DB4 combo, they were very dark even with the cut way past 1/2 way. No snap. I had to wonder if something was wired wrong. Tone knob all the way up on GTR as well. My Teles both had a ton of snap into that amp. 55/56 handwound FCS and Crushed Nocaster FCS pickups could not be more opposite and still way better than what I was hearing. Not that they sounds bad at all. Just not what would expect from a BP pickup. Maybe those are best in bright gtr's. When I pluck the string I need some snap!
