Well, it seems everywhere I look guitarists are being asked to run direct using IEM's. I played at a friends church in Clarksville, TN a few months back and I was "allowed" to bring my Maz 8, but still needed headphones to hear what's going on. I've looked into what most players I've seen are using, but I don't need a Strymon or Dream 65, which causes me to get a separate power supply. But this Boss pedal popped up on my radar and got my attention. It has a small footprint, runs on a regular Voodoo Lab -2 power supply, and has more features than I'' ever probably use. I ordered it last week but they were not in stock yet, but I got the message this morning saying that it has shipped. At $199.00 I can see the worth in trying it out without busting the bank (or my ego - I'm not into having to program a pedal) so I am looking forward to the challenge in using it, but also enjoying the time I can crank either of my Z's!

I saw this on the Anderton’s YouTube channel.
Of course they are in the business of selling, but they seemed impressed and the tones weren’t bad. The modellers keep getting better. Most I tried in the past weren’t able to stay due to my picky ear, but most wouldn’t hear or notice. Worth a try at the price if you need an amp less answer. ME

Agreed, if one can’t hear/feel the difference (and most can’t), then i say go for it………I however can hear and feel the difference, so not for me…..but pretty cool 😎.
