Hey all, We did a guitar show this past weekend. We use my Zlux combo for a demo amp.
We had a lot of customers signing the praise of the Zlux. We have a wide range of pedals with different levels of gain and this amp shines through with all of them.
Metal, blues, clean, edge of break up . . . sounds fantastic with them all!!

Agreed, whole heartedly… every time I play through the z lux, I’m blown away. Best amp I’ve ever had.

Just curious, but what makes you guys like the z-lux so much?

Just curious, but what makes you guys like the z-lux so much? I LOVE the clean tone as well as the EQ bypass tone. Add the reverb and trem it’s totally my jam. Like most Z amps takes pedals like a champ. Works great for the occasional acoustic song as well.

Just curious, but what makes you guys like the z-lux so much? It’s a bit hard to explain, but think of the perfect deluxe reverb, vibroverb, twin, what have you, with a warmth that they all lack. When I want to hear what a guitar sounds like, I always plug into the Lux, as it illuminates all. No lies in that chassis. And with the head and cab in closed back (all red of course), I can have the cleanest of cleans and with the right pedal, the heaviest of heavies. The same might be true with the EZG50, can’t say as I’ve never played through one. But the Lux and Jaz are masterpieces.

Just curious, but what makes you guys like the z-lux so much? the tone is smooth and warm, the cleans are very full. It's a smooth amp, it won't bite but it will get glassy and a piano like on the top end. I think its best asset is that it's a familiar sounding amp. You play it and you know the tone but it's better than you heard before. Like some of the others said, it loves because and an OD or distortion or a boost and it sounds fantastic. It's also very easy to dial in, I can't even make it sound bad. They are tones I won't use but I have never said yuck! I use it for demoing pickups because the controls are so familiar for people to use. I used my Ghia for a while and it sounded great as long as I was running the controls. Too often customers would get frustrated with the Ghia tone control and then walk away. It was easier to give them something familiar. Todd
