Im looking for an amp to get the Kenny Burrell,Johnny smith sound.More specifically,not a rolled off tone rom the guitar but a clean and thick at the same time,just from the amp.Do you suggest the Cure or Jetta guys?Can someone post a video of Jetta's cleans because every demo has distortion?

This video has a lot of clean playing:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=agVdFJaltIs The Jetta has a thicker clean tone than the CURE, and you'll likely benefit from the added clean headroom of the 30 watts over the 15-20 watts of the Cure. The Jetta tone knob can go quite dark. |

I vote Jetta …… with just three knobs that amp is absolutely versatile…………….. I find it kind of ironic. I play through a Jetta, and I drive a GTI!

How would the Jetta be for blues ? I have both and really like both. Either can be used for blues. Depends on the tone and headroom you're after. I set my amps up cleaner and run pedals. Jetta is more headroom and more of a neutral tone to me. Very stripped but effective feature set. Cure can definitely do clean pedal platform. Less power. Fuller featured. A go to for strat/clean blackface sound at reasonable volumes in my opinion. |
