Hey Z-bros,
I'm curious if anyone has ever tried putting neodymium and ceramic speakers in the same guitar cabinet.
I ordered a 4 x12 cabinet and I have a couple of old G12T-75's. I was thinking about trying to blend them with a couple neo speakers.
Thanks for any input.

I have a 210 with that blend and had it in a 212 for a while. No problems doing it as to the speakers, cabinet and amp. To me, the blend sounds closer to a two ceramic blend than a ceramic and Alnico blend. The difference between a two ceramic and ceramic/neo is subtle, but there, probably more for feel than sound.

I didn't fully install, but I did test run the neo creamback in my 212 for about 10 minutes. At the moment I don't recall which speaker I ran it with, but I felt like it got lost underneath the ceramic. It wasn't horrible, but decided not to transplant it in there.

I would think the other issue would be that the cab would be heavier on the ceramic side and be a PITA to carry. jamminjohn
