That is a bunch of letters! Great guitar. Had to have it set up and man it play well. Very versatile with with coil tap as well. Got the Gold Top. I would highly recommend this. Best, Rik

I just picked up a Swamp Ash Special SE. It immediately became my main gig guitar, and I have 4 other PRS core models. The SE guitars are really great, and a bargian!

Rik.....how would you describe the neck carve? I sold my PRS's with the "Wide/Fat" neck, but have kept one that has the "Wide/Thin".

It’s very close to my Strat and Tele with 60s carve. Those are a C, .840” at the first and .975” at the 12th with a 1.65” nut width. The DGT SE is .843” and .953” respectively per PRS with a 1.656” nut. But I have to play it first before buying.

Hey guys. When you are posting that you got a new guitar, we really need to see pics. I think it's one of the rules of the forum.

Congrats. Those are nice instruments. I bought a PRS DGT core model last June and occasionally wished I'd saved some dough and bought the SE. Perhaps I'll sell it and get the PRS SE Hollowbody Standard. Then put the left over cash into a Dr Z amp.

I’m just approaching a year with mine (goldtop). It’s the least expensive by far of my four PRS, and it’s my number one. I did swap the volume controls back to what’s logical to me…. But otherwise it just rocks on. I also have an S2 semi with DGT pickups. Very similar sounding, but the semi is a tad more woody. I also have the pickups set a tad higher for more drive. I’m tempted to grab a core DGT, but they are north of 3k. I really like the carve better on the originals. At 2200-2500 I’d buy one to compare, but it current prices it’s not worth the money.
