Sweet! I haven’t played humbuckers through mine yet. My Strat and Tele respond a bit differently, but I can push the gain on the amp’s volume pot with both and get a nice overdrive. It also cleans up well with the guitar volume pot. Very versatile. I’m loving it!

I’m taking lessons from Adrian. He is one he11 of a guitar player. I’ll share a cool Adrian story. A few years ago Adrian ordered a Z Wreck silver set. He was closing the Montreal Jazz Festival on Thursday night he had me ship the amp to the show. Without ever plugging into Z Wreck before, he used it that night in front of thousands of fans. Now that takes balls , he sounded amazing so I been told.

I need those settings. Well… and maybe a bit of that talent.

I love the Zplus and how it sounds clean. Then one day just for the heck of it I turned on the eq bypass to full and turned every knob all the way up (except the reverb) on my little combo amp. I was pretty suprised! Then I tried it through a 412 and jeez. That little amp rips. Low power mode is helpful here and let's it compress a little which sounds great. I was surprised how everything held together and stays tight. No flub here! I was so taken back I threw a cell phone in front and recorded it. I think Doc still has it up on his site.
I'm sort of baffled it doesn't get more talk as great rock amp because it is.
For the gainy sounds the low power mode gets the best results, probably because I can turn it all the way up lol! Crank that sucker up all the way and let er rip!

The Z-Plus is a great amp for any style. One thing I just realized about myself. I currently own 25 Z's and as I look at my posts in this group and in many other forums, I realize I say "this is a very special amp" or "one of Z's best". Guess what, they are all special and they are all one of Z's best. Mike and company, I can't thank you enough for the gift you've given to musicians over the past 35 years. Your amps and cabinets deliver something very special and there's a reason I own so many. I'm not a collector, I'm a player and the amps you build are more than amps, they are an extension of me and they really inspire me to explore new approaches to my playing.
THANK YOU AGAIN!!!

I took a screenshot and zoomed in on the amp. It looks to me like the settings are (clock style) V 10-11, T 11, M noon, B noon, reverb fairly low, Cut 11, Master 10 ish. Hi input. So it seems either eq bypass is engaged or a pedal is in there somewhere or both.
however, the guitar cable going into the amp has the same white plug as is at the guitar end, so perhaps no pedal.
Also, I don't see a mic on the amp.
Anyway, spectacular playing and sound.
