I have PRS Mira S-2 Semi hollow. So it's made in the USA factory without some of the pizzaz and the pickups are made by the same overseas company that makes the ones for the SE series. I like the guitar. I find it to be a really good rhythm guitar. It has a bit of the Ric/Gretsch rhythm sound to me in the neck and both position. We do a Beatles tribute set sometimes, and I use it for that, if that helps any. With the pickups in mine, it's an okay lead guitar on the bridge pickup, but not great. I had a first generation Mira solidbody made of Koa. For it too, I found the USA pickups to be better for rhythm than leads. Neck pickup on both are really nice the bridge on both are a little thin for my liking. Changing the pickups out on them is pretty easy because of the pickguard.

I've got an S2 Mira Semi-Hollow, as well. It's funny that Marc pointed out its Ric/Gretsch tendencies, because I actually installed some LollarTrons in mine and it's pretty sweet.
I've also previously had an original/core P90 Mira 245 and I also have a Mira X (WICKED guitar). They've all been excellent. No surprise I'm a big PRS fanboy... Even though the Mira doesn't look/feel exactly like the more common PRS guitars (Custom and McCarty shapes, or even Santana) it still feels 100% PRS DNA. The S2 semi-hollow version is a comfortable guitar, light, and well made. Their S2 series guitars represent a great bang for the buck; still feels like a Maryland-made instrument, just not as crazy-custom high end fancy and all that.

Hmm... I've got a pair of TV Jones pickups that I got from Helmi in another guitar. I may have a pickup changing project down the line. Thanks for the idea, Mark.

I love the Mira models. Would love to hear the semi-hollow ones.

Well … I may just give it a go and see how things play out. It’s a S 2 model. Sunburst finish. Price is nice Weight is super light And the balance is that PRS feel for sure.
Ain’t had a PRS in a long while. This should be fun.
Cheers always

So, still auditioning this guit-fiddle. Seems to be scratching that ES335/339 itch quite nice. And got some of those great growling Gretsch moments too. Still in the honeymoon phase … but lovely with the Z28 and 210 cab and downright dangerous with the Galaxie 210 combo.
Cheers always
