I had a non master Remedy 10 years ago and really liked it. Had to run it loud to get the tones I needed so I moved on. I always knew the amp is perfect for the stuff I play, I'm a huge Marshall fan. Especially Plexi tones....
I recently picked up a MV Remedy played it at a couple rehearsal and then thoroughly at home.. If this amp originally came with MV, I never would have sold the first one. It does the Marshall grind & crunch at any volume. With an SD-1 in front it goes to JCM 800 territory. This amp can be very raw and aggressive or safe and in the pocket. For me it's all about the aggressive side of this monster. Tight and focused!
I'm usually not a big fan of post phase inverter MV, but it works perfect on this amp. The only other Z amp I can compare this to is the SRZ-65. I liked the SRZ, but it had a high end squeal I could never dial out.
I'm late to the party on the MV Remedy and this amp is staying put. I have a couple recording sessions coming up and will be using it on every track.
Maybe the Remedy will dethrone the Route 66 as my favorite Z amp ever....

I don't know how the Doc did it, but after several shows and more rehearsals I'm floored at what a different amp this is with the Master Volume. I run it at 40 watts always and wherever I set the gain on the High channel it cuts thru like nothing else and has unbelievable Marshall tones. This amp is a different animal than anything I've owned and for my situation has no limitations. It does that JMP grind/crunch thing as well as any Marshall. And with a 6V6 power section.
From here on out I'll plug in a play this tone machine and probably not post anything for a while!

Going to sell the route 66? It might make for a good acoustic guitar amp!

I’m in the Remedy camp as well. Great amp for the sounds in my head. Also have a Nova combo which I put an Neo-Creamback in. Sounds great - less weight. It sounds great as well (as all Z’s do). The Nova is a little better for moving about. Using them together with the Nova for wet effects (in the loop) is pretty special sounding to me. ME

Have to agree with everything said here about the MV model. I don't play out much anymore but even in home studio (sometimes gets loud but not usually) I love playing through my Remedy. The real bonus for me is my R6 Les Paul with P 90's that I've never really loved sounds great through it. I've had a love/hate thing with this guitar for years but now love is winning out.The Dr claims to have tried to get into the Marshall hi-lo without having to jumper the channels but I don't think this amp is that. I do however think (for me) it's better. Those Marshalls are pretty much one trick ponys (they do it very well by the way). The Remedy MV can do many different things which is great.
