I know how crazy that sounds, but it was a benefit for a little girl with cancer. I took my two loudest amps, the Z-28 MKII and the Z-Lux. I played the Z-28 with my SG all night, on 3-3-3 with the master halfway up. It’s the first time I’ve really been able to open it up. You know that “A” note you slide up to in the “All Right Now” solo? I hit that and I could have walked home on the sustain.

Summertime outdoor gigs ... like doing a show in a sauna. Glad you got to open the Z up!

Awesome. What part of Texas!?
The HOT part. ha ha

In the background: There comes a time with age and elevated temperatures/humidity, where the huggies and coolers get filled with water rather than beer.

The most important piece of gear in Stephen's photo is the ICE CHEST/COOLER! It's been ridiculously hot here.....and it shows no sign of letting up.
The Austin/Texas Z fest sounds like fun. I'm in D/FW.

We had a concert in the park event last week, and it was sticky hot. Makes things interesting when the neck of the guitar is super sticky!

We had a concert in the park event last week, and it was sticky hot. Makes things interesting when the neck of the guitar is super sticky! We had a gig a little over a week ago at an Elks club. The lower level, where we were supposed to play, had taken water during a storm the night before. They were going to cancel the event, but went on anyway and moved us upstairs. It was a hot night. The AC couldn’t keep up. It was hot, humid and miserable in the building. Poor guitar was so gunked up, I came home gave it a complete going over the next day. Since we’re just a duo with my guitar as the only instrument, when it gets sticky, there are songs we avoid.
