Hi all, Zbro Chilly Gibbons (Todd T.) reached out to us (Joshua and I) about building him a custom pickup for his Les Paul. He wanted a high output pickup but something that will match up aesthetically with his bridge double cream pickups. We took our high gain Psycho pickup design and modified it to look like a traditional un covered PAF pickup. The Psycho is a classic super distortion style pickup that is much more balanced than others. Typically high gain pickups loose their sparkle. Not here, we worked very hard to keep the top end shimmer with this design. We replaced the hex screw pole with traditional slug and screws for the PAF look. Also, the PAF poles pieces will give this a slightly warmer tone. This will be a real sleeper!! I captured some build pictures along the way for Todd and thought some others might like seeing the process too. enjoy the pictures

Installed today and WOWZA! This is exactly what I hoped for. High output but with high end intact. Not sure exactly how, but Todd pulled it off perfectly. Paired with a Saboteur neck pickup and new PCNS Patriot cable, I’m in high gain heaven. Already going to order another psycho, just don’t have the guitar yet (ships Monday) and not sure it I need chrome or nickel. But man, that pickup (and cable) are tits. Really woke that LP up. Had Wolfetone Dr Vintages in it and they are great, but needed more meat and less coleslaw. Thanks again Todd, Josh, and Patti!
