Im considering one of these combos. Does the lighter wood affect the tone in anyway. And does anyone know the weight difference between the newer LT vs an older Ghia 1x12 combo? Thx!

The extremely more resonate Italian Poplar Ply make this 1x10 combo sound huge. The denser Baltic Birch is ideal for larger say 4 X 12 cabs but can sound boxy in a small cab size like the 1X10. The poplar ply eliminates that. As for the weight I would need to put them both on a scale for the true numbers, but I will guess at least a 10 lb. decrease in new cab. Z
