Has anyone had experience with humbucker sized P90s? What brand, overall tone difference/benefits..? I'm thinking of putting a pair in a chambered LP style guitar. I've always loved the magic a single coil can have, but I can't abide the highs and the lack of oomph, so I have pretty much just stuck with humbuckers. I'm looking for middle ground, and more on the clean side of things... Any thoughts or comments?

Another Z-90 user in a semi hollow ASAT Deluxe for about 10 years (20 years ago). Back then, the Z-90 was pretty much the only option out there but there are a lot of winders making these now so the choice would be harder.

I have a set of Greenville Humbucker sized P90s. They are fantastic! Todd (pcns), who is on this forum, made them for me. I have them in a Heritage H-150.
They are very articulate and have great midrange. The are as hot as my Seth Lovers in my 535s!
Todd can fix you up!

Gibson makes a P94. I had one in an Esquire GT. Much better than the Fender Humbucker. As always YMMV.

these are the pickups I wound for Russell. He did a bunch of A to B comparisons with his P90 loaded Les Paul. I was able to dial in a pretty good P90 tone for him. These are still single coil pickups so are not humcanceling but will fit right into a standard humbucker opening. Bridge is wound to 8.5k and neck it 7.4k with Alnico 5 magnets

gbowman I have a set already wound. If you'd like to give them a try let me know and I can mail them out to you. If you like them, buy them and if you don't, mail them back. The most it will cost you is return shipping. Pretty low risk. Todd greenvillepickups.com procablesnsound.com

Just installed a set of Duncan Phat Cats in my Japanese Epiphone Les Paul. Wow, great pickups. I have them set low and I love the grind I get from them.
