Salutations folks, I'm new to the world of Dr. Z amplifiers but I have definitely fallen in love with every Dr. Z amp that I have had the pleasure of playing through. I received a new Z28 mkII in early January and have only logged maybe 31/2 4 hours on it but I am noticing a slight hiss/rattle trailing the signal coming from the amp when playing big open chords/power chords. Not noticable when playing most leads but I can't seem to find the origin of this sound, I've set the amp up in a fairly empty and carpeted room to rule out anything around the amp producing this sound. It sounds to me like it's originating from the amp chassis, and the speaker seems like it is mounted securely so I don't think it's that. Is it possible for a tube or another component to be producing this sound? When I plug in a guitar with humbuckers there is also some mild but noticable clicking/taping noises when not playing, even with guitar volume rolled down to zero.
I love the tone of this amp but would appreciate any advice on what this might be as I'm not one to tinker with amplifiers and as such am a bit lost.
Thanks!

Tube rattle perhaps? Do you have different tubes you can swap out one at a time?

A hiss is unusual coming from a big cord, a slight rattle is always possible in a combo. Where did you buy it ? What is the serial number ? Did you register it ?

Have someone play, or set a loop if you have a looper so that you clearly hear the sound occurring. Grab an oven mitt or towel and hold each tube until you hear it go away. This should dampen the sound. It's very likely tube rattle you are experiencing. See if you can determine which one is causing the issue. It's likely the first tube xclosest to the input, the EF-86, that is a tad microphonic. If you can determine which is the issue, register your amp, then contact repairs@drzamps.com. Sending in a video/audio of the issue will be helpful as well. If it's a new amp, the tubes should still be under warranty.
