I've recently become interested in the zbest 2x12 cabinet. So, I've done my research and was set to purchase a used cabinet at a local store. However when trying it out I noticed not one but two inputs on the back. The store had no idea and I have not seen nor been able to find information about this. I assume it is a parallel connector for a extension cabinet but have not seen this offered as an option for the zbest. Just after I noticed this another zbest became available near me with the same configuration. Both have two jacks and no ohm indicator plate. I initially thought this was a well done, after purchase, mod but after seeing the second I don't know. Is or was this a configuration offered by DrZ?

Never seen that stock on a zbest. Not heard of it being offered at factory. I’d guess it’s aftermarket.

A detail I just took notice of that leads me to believe that this could be factory -
On both the zbest I laid eyes on and the one I posted the ohm label is absent but so are the screw holes where the ohm label is generally placed, just below the center jack. I've not seen a zbest without an ohm label. Also the the jacks and screws appear identical.

It wouldn't be factory. I wouldn't assume it's a parallel connection. It may be someone wanted to access each speaker by itself for recording purposes. Or a stereo configuration. I would open it up to see how it's wired.

Guessing parallel too. Measure resistance on the speaker cord in each jack to be sure and listen to the speaker when you do it. You could get 8 ohms on each if in parallel (say 2 16 ohm speakers wired in parallel), or it could be configured as one jack per speaker (less likely) with 8 ohm speakers each and you'd get the same reading which is why you'd have to listen.
