Which has more clean headroom the z wreck or z28 mk2? I’m a country player who uses pedals and am interested in one of these. I’m intrigued by the z wreck but not sure it has clean headroom.

Any EL 84 amp is going to have a touch more hair on the notes that is were they shine. The Z 28 MKII with it's full sounding 5881's has a rich full sound, and more headroom IMHO. Z

The Z-28 Mk. II will get on much better with pedals than the Z Wreck. You'll find the Z Wreck to eventually run out of clean much earlier on the dial and not all overdrives and distortions get along with the Z Wreck. The Z-28 Mk. II is designed to take pedals of any sort.
