Hello, like the subject states my Nova is has a very loud white noise-type sound whenever I use the metro effects loop.
Specifically when I plug a cable into the return jack. I got this amp in a trade for my Jetta so I'm not sure how well the previous user kept it, but it appears to be in great shape. The noise is easily audible when playing, I've tried isolating individual pedals to see if there is a single offender, but nothing seems to make it go away, other that running my entire pedalboard through the front of amp. I don't mind doing this since it still sounds good, but I thought the metro loops were supposed to be the best, which means low noise to me...

Have you cleaned the loop jacks? That can fix some issues.
It seems you have tried running just a plain cable between the jacks and are still getting noise. The other thing to check is the loop itself. There's a switch on the loop's board that adjusts levels. That could be the culprit. Best bet is to check with Don (repairs@drzamps.com) -- give him a few days to reply -- or Frankie (works at Dr Z) may see this post and chime in.
It's a great amp, isn't it?

I finally got some deoxit and cleaned both jacks of the loop...the noise is gone & the loop sounds great now! Thanks doctorice , the simplest solution worked!
