I'm noticing my jaw continues to drop everytime I plug into my CAZ.
I have #054. It has a custom black grille cloth with a silver "Z" logo done in shop at Dr.Z, which I think looks awesome.
This amp is absolutely providing the most fun I've ever had playing guitar.
I've previously owned a delta 88 and played through a route 66 which were great amps.
But this thing is a completely different animal.
What kind of tone do you want? It's all there.
I've had the amp for about a month and I keep having days at work where I think of a guitar sound I want to emulate, and I beam with excitement knowing I will find something in the amp that fits the bill when I get home.
You can really get vintage Fender AND Marshally tones out of this thing. I play a 2007 deluxe tele with the noiseless pickups and I also have a les Paul signature "T" gold top.
Jazz, rock, blues, FUNK FOR SURE, and of course classic high gain.
I feel like I'm just beginning to get an understanding of the diversity of this amp.
I remember watching the sweetwater video during COVID and thinking, "wow I think that's my dream amp"
Well. I was right.
I also really want to express my deep appreciation for Dr. Z as a company. It feels so good knowing that these are made here in the USA and that Mike puts his hands on so many of the amps they make. I can guarantee that he has quality people working for him because you can tell he cares about people and listens to them. that is something that is not found everywhere these days.
So thank you Dr. Z, for everything. Y'all are awesome.
Keep on keeping on <3

Jeb thanks for the kind words. I spoke to Allen Phillips today ( designer of the CAZ 45 ) and we both are puzzled that more players haven't tried out a CAZ 45. It is a do all Rock Machine with a great variety of tones inside . OH well you have , enjoy.

Les Paul soloing over some Adel album with the gain about 10pm and it sounded fantastic like that and in that context. It's pretty special and can really be dialed in a lot of different ways. I also really appreciate some other aspects of like, like it's small enough to fit on 19" rack and doesn't way a ton. Even with all that available gain, the noise floor it basically non existent. Super easy to get a finished, record quality tone basically no matter where you set the controls, and without outboard gear.

It is a do all Rock Machine with a great variety of tones inside . OH well you have , enjoy. Z Well, it’s on my short list of 2 (Z Lux). And it’s almost 4K with the cab. For a lot of us it takes a long time to save up the dough for that! For what it’s worth, there are no used ones available on either reverb or eBay. That makes me believe that everybody who owns one it is pretty darn happy with it and that leaves us less well to do scavengers who have to scour the used market due to tight budgets empty-handed! FWIW, I was just able this year to afford a used Nova (thanks to a great price I got right here on the forum!). I’m saving again and either one of those 2 amps is in my future - distant future- but for certain! I wish I could afford to purchase your amps brand new, Doc. They certainly warrant the price you anre asking for them. Looking forward to my next one, and hoping it actually is the CAZ 45!

I’ve been eyeing the CAZ since it released, but haven’t pulled the trigger because I usually go to my EMS for rocking out. I guess I’ll have to add it to the collection anyway. I just need to wait a bit since I just got the new Z-28.. or at least let my wife forget, and then bring a Caz home lol.

I love mine. And don't plan on selling it. I do need to play it more. I'm working on that.

Plus only playing home anymore My wife would kill me at $4 K . I realize to get this tone you have to go big

I love mine. For straight up rock, it's really unbeatable. My main band does 80 and 90s hard rock and the CAZ shines on everything. It's built incredibly well and sounds good in every venue we have played. Plus it looks killer with the matching Zbest cab underneath....
