Today I was reminded that Hamer closed it doors 12/18/22, but then one door closes another one opens. I never had the funds to order a new Hamer until it was too late. But out of the ashes came Shishkov Guitars and Mike has been producing some killer one of a kind guitars. My C/O that didn’t see the light of day, has sort of had a rebirth. Mike has been refining his Singlecut guitar for the last few years and this one has actually changed shape three times since I ordered it. More details later, just wanted to share a couple images of the build. www.shishkovguitars.com

The Koa is a really really special piece that Mike has had for a really long time. It’s going to be pretty amazing.
Singlecut Version III Mahogany Back and Neck Koa Top/ Headstock Ebony Board 25.5 Scale Length Vintage Carve Neck. Proprietary “Working Man” Bridge strung through the body. Vintage Underwound Gravelin Humbuckers.
The goal is to get as much string articulation and note separation without ever being harsh, or being muted. When you use for the most part lower powered amps pushed its a struggle sometimes to not slam the front end and turn it to mush. Very much why I love the Z28 and M12 with the EF86 Front End.
