Is there a difference between a Sovtek 12AX7LPS and a EHX 12AX7LPS? Looking for replacement tubes for my Z-28 MKII.

If I had to guess I'd say the EH are rebranded Sovtek

Looking at pictures online, the Sovtek LPS appears to have longer plates.

Yeah, this is a great tube. My favorite 12AX7 since pre-war Ei long plates. Thankfully, I bought several before 2020.

The SOVTEK does have longer plates than the EHX. It looks like the only 12AX7 that they label as EHX has short plates.
Interestingly, the Mullard 12AX7 reissue looks absolutely identical to the SOVTEK 12AX7LPS, long plates and all. But I’ve tried it in the phase inverter position in my Monza, where the Doc calls for a 12AX7LPS, and it doesn’t seem to sound or feel the same as the SOVTEK.
