As some of you know my Z Wreck has been For Sale as it hasn't been "getting out" in favor of smaller amps for smaller venues. That's changing tonight as we start another week-long (Wed-Sun) engagement at the famous Grizzly Rose. Don't bother looking for Union Gray on the calendar as it's a pickup gig. I'm torn there's no national act on Friday as it means less strike/sets but I do always look forward to swapping stories with the guitar player who rolls through. Oh well... That said I'm dusting off the Z Wreck and we're going to town! I'll remote the cab off-stage so no attenuation needed...Let It ROAR! This is likely the "straw" that will bring the "Wreck" back into regular rotation!

Two nights down...three to go. No strike last night which was a nice change. The rig sounds wonderful. I find myself breaking out guitars I haven't played in a bit...the "For Sale" Huber is going with me tonight. Ahhh...I don't need money for gifts!

It's down the the Wreck, the Huber and my trusty, #1 Nocaster. I'm liking it. Family night tonight and it's always full of energy with all the kids dancing. It's a necessary component for the band playing five sets for four nights. Bring it!

<whew> I made it through the week. The kids definitely helped last night but overall it was a lower key gig. Here's a summary in photos. The Huber and Nocaster did just fine all night: The cab was off stage and somewhat baffled with a MXL DX2 doing the heavy lifting..no Air Brake here. The lead singer's DR next door... The head was on stage making it easy to adjust. This is where I landed after 5 days... ...and...just for fun here's the pedalboard. My Timmy may replace the TS9...jury is still out. Yes, I still need to get a set of pedalboard cables from you Todd / pcns

Nice. More than 1/2 way up is getting it for sure. The Timmy has served me really well for a long time now. It's my "more" pedal :-)

I'd have given it more juice but I needed "some" cleanish tones. The TS9 gives me a special something with the Nocaster...and the Timmy does the trick with the Huber. If I had an open spot both would be on the board. Three songs into the night the lead singer noticed a "cowboy" standing on the dance floor wearing a Led Zeppelin t-shirt. He turned to me and asked "should we give him a taste?" Keep in mind this is a "country" bar...and I promptly broke into Whole Lotta Love for a couple verses / choruses. Most kids still danced...and some stood and stared...made my night! :-)
