Hello, I apologize in advance if my video link does not work. I am having issues with harmonic frequencies bleeding through especially when the volume control is turned up past noon. It almost sounds like an octave fuzz especially with certain notes. The noise isolates and there are three distinct“notes “almost at perfect intervals from low to high. I am trying to post a link to a video I took. I’ve also checked the tubes and tighten the speaker. share.icloud.com/photos/09c1kZ_nlvF6t0_GPxDpNLoVg

I’m not hearing it, probably because of the listening platform at the moment. However, your description sounds like a microphonic tube. I’d start with tube “tapping” to try to locate it. Probably V1 or a power tube.

I can hear it ! Right after you pick the note there are 3, sometimes maybe 4 or more faint ascending tones, and maybe one descending tone. Wow ! That's pretty strange. I've never heard that before.
I really have no idea what would cause that, but I would definitely start by tapping the tubes with a pencil eraser to see if any of them are microphonic.
I agree with Chilly. I'd probably start with V1 then V2. Swap them out one at a time with a 12AX7 you know is good (works good in another amp). If that doesn't fix it, replace the 6V6's.
Hope you get it resolves. Let us know how you fix it. Cheers
Edited: Was there a cell phone near the amp when you made the video ? Does the amp do the same thing with other guitars plugged in ?

Also, is this amp new to you or has it just begun performing what you are describing? If new, the Plus is a parallel single ended design and inherently will produce more harmonics than a push pull design.

Not a new amp. Had it a few years. I think it was manufactured in 2019.

UPDATE Don from DRZ repairs emailed me and I think we’ll have it sorted. Said it’s more than likely the power tubes. He said replace them and stick with JJ tubes. I’m going to get those and hopefully solve the issue. Side note: I want to thank Don he responded on his own after reading my forum post and we emailed a few times back and forth. Super nice knowledgeable and helpful. This is why I like to stick with small homegrown manufacturers especially Z. Thanks again for great customer experience!

They’re such a pleasure to do business with. Got their stuff together, best amp crafter out there.
