Anybody have experience running wireless speaker systems?
There have been gigs when I needed to place a satellite speaker somewhere and couldn't lay speaker cable. So I started researching the options for going wireless with speakers. The only pro option I could find was the Alto Stealth Pro Wireless system. But it's pretty pricey and I rarely need that kind of thing. The Alto Pro system does looks solid.
But now they just came out with a $100 option: The Stealth 1. I can't find any reviews on it. It's a lot cheaper and seems to fit the bill perfectly. So I went ahead and ordered one. I'll see how it does at a couple of gigs I have coming up.
How have you solved this issue? Does anybody have any experience with either of the Alto Stealth wireless systems?

I got the Alto Stealth 1 Mono wireless on Friday. It's easy to set up and it's FAST! Plug them in, turn them on to one of 16 channels and go. I tested it out at a live event on Friday night and it worked perfectly. The speakers were only 4' apart (I used it at a High School football playoff game for two speakers on the right side of the press box).
The next day, I set it up in different locations at home. It worked great upstairs. I could walk between the transmitter and receiver with no drop outs whatsoever. I also had no dropouts when I put the speakers in different rooms with walls blocking them 25' apart. Downstairs, I got lots of dropouts when they were 15' apart and I walked in between them. In both situations, I had them at table level, not how they'd actually be used at a gig on stands. I changed the position slightly on the downstairs set up and after I did that, I had no drop outs. Positioning is obviously important.
The next test will be to put them on stands, outside, and see how they do there. So far, I'm optimistic they'll work for wedding ceremonies and things like that. For $100 this thing may solve my problem.
