Using the Ghia as a pedal platform with an Origin Effects Cali 76, Halcyon, and Revival Drive, Boss VB-2w, CE-2w, and BD-2w, Fulltone ChoralFlange, and Behringer Super Fuzz. Delay is on the board from an Eventide H9 and also a little bit of a TC Electronic G-Major2 at the end.

Really nice, love the Heart licks towards the end. Is that s CS Strat in shell pink? Thanks. The strat is a 62 reissue from 1983. I don't know the whole story on those, but it goes something like Fender hired someone from their past to get the guitars up to a better level of quality, and they setup a shop in Fullerton CA to do so, I think they did that between 82 and 84, and they are kind of referred to as the "Fullerton guitars". They made a 62 reissue strat with rosewood fingerboard, as well as 57 with maple fingerboard. I think a 52 tele and some model old p-bass. After 84 they moved somewhere else. Fender had Gilmore and Clapton promoting them back then and they said they were using them on tours at the time (who knows). The other part of that story is at the start they went from making say a couple hundred guitars a day to something like 5. Eventually they got manufacturing worked out and that era is now kind of considered the genesis of the custom shop where they'd try to make good guitars based on the old guitars. Anyway, it's a good guitar and has some kind of vibe about it. It's all original and the frets are really shot, but it has a sound that makes me want to play it. 7.5" radius, maybe 7.25", and they are known for having really skinny necks. All that stuff adds up to the guitar is pretty hard to play, but it has this "thing" to it with the sound that makes me want to play it. Color was olympic white which turned into a creme which is almost yellow. You would never guess that it was once a white guitar by looking at it.

WOW, not what I would have quessed by looking at it. It definitely oozes of cool vibe and the neck looks really dark, almost roasted. I’m sure it’s the lighting, but I’d swear it was a shell pink CS. Even at prod. 1983, it’s still vintage and looks amazing.

That was excellent Adam. I just spent a couple hours trying to follow along and steal some of those licks. The 4 chords you go into up around the 12th fret at about 19:35, it sounds like E - D - G - E. But I couldn't get the voicing right.
Your tone is great. Your effects always sound like they compliment the amp, rather than cancelling something out, or working against it. Great job. Cheers

i have the exact same guitar but when i bought it in the late 90's, it had Texas Specials in it. I replaced them with Kinman noiseless. I think you just told me more about it than i ever knew. Excellent vid!!

I think you have a good observation about the pedals complimenting the amp. I feel and hear that too, like they are part of the whole sound rather than something added to the sound. Bottom line there is I think the amp just takes pedals great. It's kind of like the amp isn't bright or pokey, yet it has some extended high frequency range or something that allows those things to breath. Chords/notes are (d/g/b strings) E-G-D, E-G-C#, E-G-C, then open 12th fret harmonics on the d/g/b strings. Variations are before the first chord, 12 the fret on the G/B/E strings. Also on the the 3rd chord (E-G-C), after hitting the chord, add the 15th fret on the high e string. Pretty easy huh? Basically you are play 14th fret d string, 12th fret g string, then moving the high not down chromatically from D to B I think what really happening on the record is there are 2 guitars, and the second guitar follows the same chords 1 beat later, except that 3rd chord where the second guitar is playing the voicing with the G on the high e.
