I don't ever see these talked about.
When I got my Maz 38 it had the Classic Lead 80 (G12-80). The amp sounded great, but I'll admit my first thought was the speaker had been down graded. You don't see them mentioned much on the forums. They are a little more affordable than some of the more popular Celestion ceramics out there. My Maz is one of the older ones with the Studio Deluxe badge on the front in the studio 112. I pulled up some photos and it looks like this was the stock speaker. That calmed me down to be patient with the speaker, I've learn my lesson about thinking I can find a better speaker than Doc on his combos. Since then I've had some great speakers that I've tried with the 38. Most of them have sounded nice, no one has come close to the range and tone I get from the Lead 80. I'm newer to having the Nova and got around to running that through the Lead 80 and it sounded amazing as well.
So what's up? Are others like me in assuming this is a lessor speaker and have avoided it? Just not had the opportunity? Tried it and didn't like it? I love mine.

Not a downgrade at all. I had a good friend of mine that tried everything and settled on the lead 80. I think it may be considered more neutral than other Celestions and not just a powerful greenback. Keep it.

Three things from your post: 1. The amp sounds great 2. It's the stock speaker and you love it 3. Doc makes great speaker choices
I agree with Steve. Keep it. Plus, it's not exactly a cheap speaker at ~$160 new.
